The mission of the Baldwin School Libraries is to serve all community members by creating inclusive spaces that foster cultural and global curiosity, dynamic research skills, and a lifelong love of reading. The Early Childhood, Lower School, and Anne Frank Libraries are each a hub for the School’s academic life and aim to inspire and support the learning of students and adults in an environment that is equitable, and culturally rich. The Library curriculum is designed to both enrich content across curricular areas and to deliver core learning in information literacy, through an inquiry-based, student-centered approach. The Upper School Teacher Librarian, as part of the Library Department team, will support the mission and core values of the School. The Teacher Librarian will collaborate with faculty to advance curricular learning in their content areas, while also embedding key Library learning skills. In addition to teaching, the Librarian will contribute to the management and oversight of the Anne Frank Library, with responsibilities in areas including programming, collection development, circulation, marketing, and cataloging.
