Theology Teacher
La Lumiere School
La Lumiere School is excited to invite applications for the position of Theology Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. The ideal candidate should be comfortable teaching both Biblical Literacy and World Religion courses, and should be passionate about igniting students’ interest in exploring faith. As an independent, Catholic school, we believe in supporting students in exploring their own faith and learning about other faiths. At La Lumiere, we believe in encouraging students to go beyond content mastery and develop a sense of wonder and an appetite for lifelong learning. To that end, our teachers strive to meet students where they are, differentiate instruction effectively, and support students’ academic and personal growth. Primary Responsibilities
Equity and Inclusion La Lumiere School is dedicated to equity and inclusion; the successful candidate will be knowledgeable about research on how implicit biases in race, ethnicity, gender identity, and socioeconomic class can shape curricula and pedagogy in the humanities, and will have demonstrated experience developing and reinforcing equity in teaching and learning.
