Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, teaches various sections of Middle and Upper School photography (darkroom and digital) and, ideally, filmmaking (digital) each semester. Serves as a Middle School advisor and on Middle School curricular teams. Specific Responsibilities: - Teaches Middle School and Upper School photography and possibly digital filmmaking (depending on qualifications).
- Engages students in school-wide visual arts showcases
- Provides classroom instruction and management
- Serves as advisor to 10-12 Middle School students
- Serves as a grade-level advisor for a grade-level team
- Collaborates with colleagues, students, parents and administrators as appropriate
- Actively participates in the life of the school
- Is familiar with and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the school’s documents
- Establishes and cultivates community relations by maintaining open dialogue with all of the school’s constituencies
- Vigorously engages in their own professional development
- Since safety and security are everyone’s responsibility, takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, faculty, staff, equipment, materials and facilities
- Performs other duties as assigned
