Washington Episcopal School (WES) is seeking a full-time Grade 5 teacher. With an average class size of 14 students, the candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing an elementary program including the core homeroom subjects of language arts, mathematics, and social studies. Teachers within grade levels work closely together to plan instruction, develop curriculum, and ensure success for all children.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education (or similar field), with a graduate degree preferred, and will have demonstrated successful experience working with elementary school-aged children. Experience with the Responsive Classroom approach and Teachers College Reading and Writing Workshop is preferable.
