Moses Brown is a 236-year old co-educational independent day school enrolling 750 students nursery through twelfth grade. We are seeking a full-time fifth grade science teacher to join our fifth grade team. The fifth grade program nurtures the social, emotional, and academic development of each child. A team of three teachers, who teach mathematics, ELA and science work collaboratively to lead a dynamic fifth grade academic program. Fifth grade teachers are advisors to a group of 12-13 students, and serve the critically important role as liaisons between the school and parents. In addition to the core teaching responsibilities, Moses Brown teachers are expected to serve on committees, attend school meetings, and have yearly co-curricular responsibilities. A desire to work in a team-based collaborative classroom is essential. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution. Upper elementary or middle school teaching experience is preferred, although not a requirement for application. A Master’s degree or a teaching credential is desirable. |
