Upper School Spanish Teacher Begins March 2021, full or part-time, remote option is available Position Overview: St. Edmund’s Academy seeks an enthusiastic and dynamic educator to teach 5th-8th grade Spanish and electives. This role also serves as a grade-level advisor. In collaboration with the school’s academic leaders, the teacher will be responsible for designing curriculum, planning lessons, mentoring students, and promoting health and wellness, as well as, performing supervisory tasks as assigned. The teacher will work closely with the Division Director to ensure alignment of the school’s philosophy in curriculum and practices. Candidates must possess enthusiasm for 21 st century pedagogy, be open to change and new ideas, have an outstanding record teaching middle school age groups. Excellent writing skills and strong verbal communication are expected. Ability to be positive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and innovative is essential. Candidates must have the capacity to teach extended periods in a rotating block schedule. Educators dedicated to meeting the academic and personal needs of the students and collaborating with colleagues and parents should apply.
