Renbrook School (West Hartford, CT), an independent day school for children age 3 to Grade 8, is seeking a skilled part-time music teacher to work with our youngest students in Preschool, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten beginning August 2021.
A strong understanding of child development and the unique needs of early learners.
Implement an engaging teaching approach that prioritizes steady beat, tuneful singing, and musical play and exploration.
Collaborate with grade level teachers around a theme-based curriculum.
Embrace the benefits and opportunities of outdoor learning on Renbrook’s campus.
Proven history of building positive relationships among students, parents, and faculty.
Communicate with families through narrative reports, and email as appropriate.
Enhance the school’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity through adoption of early childhood anti-bias goals, and ensure students see themselves reflected in the classroom environment and curriculum.
Engage in professional development opportunities to support continued growth in teaching and learning.
Bring creativity, joy, and energy to the Early Learning Center.
