Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School invites applications for a full-time Religion teacher for the 2021 - 2022 academic year. Located in Washington, DC, and founded in 1799, Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School educates young women in grades 9 – 12 in a faith-centered community focused on educational excellence and rooted in the Roman Catholic faith and Salesian tradition.
Successful candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree with a strong academic background in theology and previous teaching experience in the subject, preferably at the secondary level, along with energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to communicate and work with young women. As the school community places great value on Christian Service, retreats, liturgy and community, interest in Campus Ministry, service, and service learning is also valued.
Candidates must also be willing to work closely with departmental colleagues in a collaborative setting. Pre-existing certification to teach Religion in the Archdiocese of Washington is helpful, but not required. As per certification expectations, candidates must be practicing Catholics.
