Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School invites applications for a full-time position as a math teacher for the 2021 - 22 school year. Located in Washington, DC, and founded in 1799, Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School educates young women in grades 9 – 12 in a faith-centered community focused on educational excellence and rooted in the Roman Catholic faith and Salesian tradition.

Successful candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic background and previous teaching experience in math, along with energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to communicate and work with young women and to collaborate closely with department colleagues. (At least 2 - 3 years teaching experience in a secondary school classroom is preferred; similar experience in a college setting will be considered.) Additionally, candidates should possess a clear vision for what success at high levels of mathematics requires, be able to challenge talented young women to grow in critical thinking and creative problem solving, and implement teaching methods that serve diverse learning styles. |
