Location: Louisville, KY Category: Faculty Positions Posted On: Wed Nov 18 2020 Job Description: Join an innovative and energized faculty dedicated to the preparation of teacher candidates, leaders and change agents focused on school reform and social justice. Due to the significant growth in our undergraduate, master's and doctoral degree programs, the Annsley Frazier Thornton School of Education at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track position in teacher education at the Assistant Professor level. We are seeking applicants with expertise in a range of educational research methods and multicultural education/culturally sustaining pedagogies. This position has an August 2021 start date. Primary responsibilities will be to work with students and colleagues in the School of Education and across the University and Community to teach education research courses and courses in multicultural/cultural sustaining education and pedagogies. The successful candidate will demonstrate a research agenda in teacher preparation, experience/potential in securing external funding to support program and research initiatives, and interest/potential in mentoring doctoral candidates. Our new colleague will also demonstrate dedication to outreach programs, participation in all school accreditation activities and academic advising, mentorship of doctoral and master's students, and service to candidate's professional field, university, and community.
