Supervisor: Head of the Upper School
Position Status: This position is a non-exempt, part-time position.
Deep and thorough knowledge of teaching language and culture.
Ability to teach sections of Upper School Latin ranging from Latin III through AP.
Proficiency with instructional technology.
Fluency in other languages and/or other disciplines preferred
B.A. in Latin or Classical Studies (Advanced degree preferred) with a minimum 2 years of teaching experience
Work directly with 13 other Upper School language teachers as part of a language PLC
Be involved with students outside the classroom, including coaching or assisting athletic teams, club sponsorship, etc
Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; talk and hear; engage in moderately strenuous physical activity both indoors and out; and smell. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may frequently walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
Travel is primarily local during the regular business day. Overnight and out-of-area travel may also be required.
