Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services shall lead the development, implementation, evaluation, and continual refinement of curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional development and other programs in order to accelerate and enhance learning and achievement for all students. The Assistant Superintendent shall work with District staff to implement State standards and to ensure that State mandates are met. The Assistant Superintendent works cooperatively with district departments and site principals in the coordination of activities associated with State and federal projects, including, but not limited to Federal Monitoring and Compliance, and the Civil Rights Act Review. The Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services oversees curriculum, instruction, and assessment; English Language Learners and Migrant Programs; Professional Development; Professional Growth Cycle; Categorical Programs; CTE; Preschool and Wolfskill/CRA; Educational Technology; and other educationally related programs that align with the District’s vision and mission.
