Sacramento Country Day School, a leader in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade independent school education since 1964, seeks a Second Grade Teacher to add to our excellent faculty.

We are seeking a candidate who has the following attributes:

• An expert at building a classroom community
• Skilled in teaching reading and math (Everyday Math experience is a plus)
• Enjoys integrating subjects and developing curriculum 
• Engages with parents as partners in their children's growth and development
• Has a sense of humor, and enjoys collaborating with colleagues
• Will meet the needs of a wide range of learners
• Able to integrate social emotional learning into the curriculum.  Responsive Classroom training is a plus.
• Has great communication skills.
