A personal and active faith in God A deep respect for intellectual values A social awareness which impels to action The building of community as a Christian value Personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom The Lower School Homeroom Teacher is responsible for providing a stimulating and developmentally appropriate educational environment in a way that is in accordance with the Goals and Criteria of a Sacred Heart education and the philosophy that implements it. This philosophy includes providing children opportunities to develop spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. The Lower School homeroom teacher leads in curriculum development, classroom environment, and parent relationships and communications. The Lower School Homeroom Teacher is expected to be in school from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The position of Homeroom Teacher is a ten-month position. The Homeroom Teacher is responsible to the Head of the Lower School and has the following responsibilities:
Essential Functions

Degree in Elementary Education; 2-3 years teaching experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities of his/her grade assignment preferred.
