The Diocese of Beaumont located in Beaumont, Texas is currently accepting applications for the position of Superintendent of Catholic Schools. The successful candidate will provide overall leadership, direction, and support to those engaged in the ministry of Catholic school education through consultation and cooperation with school leaders and diocesan personnel. The superintendent functions as the bishop’s delegate/liaison in matters relating to the three parochial elementary schools, one diocesan elementary school and one diocesan high school.
The successful candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing committed to Catholic education and faith development. The applicant must have experience with marketing and fund-raising venues, be a team builder who possesses excellent interpersonal skills and works in a collaborative effort with diverse groups. The position requires the individual to be versed in the financial management of an internal office and individual school budgets, have a strong background in curriculum standardization and be able to demonstrate leadership, planning, and organization skills.
Qualified candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in education or educational administration with a minimum of eighteen hours in administration and supervision along with a minimum of five years involvement in Catholic schools as a teacher and/or administrator, preferably serving in the position of Principal, and must have knowledge of assessment, accreditation, curriculum and school law.
