Dawson, a K-12 independent school of 520 students located east of Boulder on a beautiful 107-acre campus, seeks an exceptional vocal music teacher for our Middle and Upper School starting August 1, 2021. Previous classroom experience is required, and a graduate degree is preferred. Professional Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in music education or a related field is required
• 3+ years teaching experience required
• Demonstrated classroom management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to include technology elements into all aspects of instruction
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters

Duties

• Report to Director of Middle School or Director of Upper School
• Teach vocal music, assist with Upper School musical, and lead Lost Keys acapella group.
• Actively participate in the extracurricular life of the School as a coach and/or club supervisor
• Serve as Advisor
• Participate in class trips, clubs, and Winterim expeditions
• Additional duties as deemed necessary by the School

The salary range for this position is $45,000-70,000. Compensation is commensurate with experience hours worked, and relevant skills. This position is either full time or almost full time (75%) depending on exact job duties. Benefits include Medical, Dental, 401k, and generous time-off.
