Kentucky Country Day School (KCD) has an opening for a full-time 8th Grade English teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. Teacher works with all sections of 8th Grade English, serves as an 8th grade advisor, and is an active member of the 8th grade team.  The ideal candidate has experience teaching English in middle school classrooms as well as cross curricular experience. 

The ideal candidate will coordinate curriculum within our JK-12 objectives as well as addressing the primary objectives of our Middle School.  Additionally, the ideal candidate has a demonstrated understanding of adolescent development.  The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, a demonstrated passion for teaching at the middle school level, and a willingness to immediately contribute to our Middle School team.

A degree in English and/or significant teaching experience in the field is preferred.
