Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit seeks an experienced professional to serve as the Director of the 1st - 4th Grade Communities beginning August 1, 2021.
Reporting directly to the Principal, the Director of 1-4 Communities is part of the School’s Leadership Team and will work closely with their colleagues to support the learning, safety, and well-being of all our students.
Job responsibilities include day-to-day operations of the 1-4 communities, student discipline, teacher supervision and accountability, and the overseeing of 1-4 programming. The Director of 1-4 Communities is expected to lead, model, and foster a safe and positive culture for the students and teachers.
Candidates need to be:

An extraordinary communicator, both in speech and in writing.
An open-minded and honest collaborator.
Upbeat with a genuine interest in the education of young children

Knowledgeable in technology such as Google Suite, email management skills, SMART board skills, and presentation skills.
Knowledgeable of Responsive Classroom and Workshop Model (preferred)
Experienced in Educational Administration/Leadership (preferred)
