Epiphany School is currently seeking a Math Specialist to join our team.
The Math Specialist is responsible for collaborating with classroom teachers to plan and deliver math instruction to students in grades PreK through 2nd grade, as well as work closely with the math specialist for grades 3rd through 5th to ensure continuity of learning across the school. The Math Specialist is a leader and advocate for math learning throughout the school community.
This is a full-time, exempt academic school year position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan, teach, and assess curriculum in collaboration with classroom teachers, specialist teachers, Division Heads, and Head of School.
Plan curriculum to meet national Math standards and current education trends
Assess and record student learning including progress reports
Establish and manage classroom culture based on mission and values of the schools
Manage classroom environment, resources and annual budget
Implement basic technology in the classroom
Communicate with families and provide regular input to teacher pages and newsletters
Provide lunch and recess coverage and arrival and dismissal duties
Participate in professional learning opportunities at Epiphany and in the greater education community
Participate in school admission, development, and community events
Participate in committees and provide input on school decisions
Degree in mathematics, curriculum and instruction, or related field, as well as a teaching certificate. Master’s degree preferred.
Five years of classroom experience preferred, implementing teaching best practices.
Must have experience in the integration of technology in teaching practice.
Experience with Math in Focus or other Singapore Math programs a plus.
Experience and comfort working in a Microsoft environment including MS Office.
Ability to lead the program in a virtual environment as needed.
Ability to multi-task and to maintain professionalism in a creative and changing environment.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; good presentation skills.
Must be collaborative, motivated, organized and process oriented.
Ability to deal with emergencies.
Commitment to student and family confidentiality.

Position typically requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Lifting/Carrying: Ability to transport up to twenty (20) pounds.
This position is required to be on-site; work is typically performed at school sites, including the office, classroom, playground, school grounds and general school environment.
