The Principal directs and coordinates educational, administrative, and DHS License activities of Pre-k and lower school.

Duties and Responsibilities (These duties represent a sample and may vary by position.)

• Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; models a consistent, daily walk with Jesus Christ in attitude, speech, and actions
• Oversees and facilitates evaluation and adoption of the curriculum with the head of school
• Oversight and production of teacher and specialist schedules
• Reviews all student progress
• Oversees the grade reporting in LMS and SMS software
• Ensures instructional resources are available for teachers
• Supervise the instructional process formally through yearly evaluations and informal walk-throughs
• Conduct academic meetings, weekly staff meetings, PLC meetings, and staff prayer meetings
• Reviews outgoing communication from teachers to parents when necessary
• Assist dean of students with behavior issues
• Oversees/hosts lower school special events
• Writes Principal's Corner for the school publication
• Facilitates clinical and student-teacher placement
• Coach teachers needing improvement in teaching methods
• Director for state and local agencies for the licensed pre-kindergarten program
• Creates and maintains department budget and reports

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 30-35 employees in the pre-kindergarten and lower school instructional and support staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
