Justin-Siena is seeking an Art teacher for the 2021-22 school year.
The essential responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Teaching multiple sections of Visual Arts, which may include studio arts, graphic design, and photography
Establish and maintain a relationship with the Napa arts community
Collaborate within the Visual and Performing Arts Department to investigate, develop and deliver our curriculum;
Advising a small group of students;
Engaging meaningfully in student life;
Performing weekend, evening, or overnight duties as assigned.

Candidates must possess demonstrated competence in the content area and in using research-based pedagogical practices. An advanced degree in the content area is preferred. Preference will also be given to those with experience teaching college preparatory, Honors, and Advanced Placement courses, grades 9-12, who have a demonstrated ability to engage students actively in their learning, and who hold a current California Teaching Credential. Preference will be given to those with experience in Lasallian or other Catholic high schools. We seek candidates with track records of positive, professional collaboration in team settings. An understanding of the developmental needs of adolescents is necessary; therefore, we seek a healthy combination of competency, positivity, flexibility, energy, creativity, and a sense of humor. We seek candidates with demonstrated experience working in a diverse, inclusive community and strong cross-cultural competency skills.
Justin-Siena is a Lasallian Catholic college preparatory high school. We serve approximately 560 students from the Napa Valley and neighboring Northern California communities, as well as international students in residence from countries around the world. About Justin-Siena High School
Justin-Siena is a co-educational independent Catholic High School sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. We serve more than 550 students from the Napa Valley as well as the neighboring Solano County and Sonoma Valley. We have a strong commitment to serve those who could not otherwise afford a quality Catholic secondary school experience with one third of our student body receiving tuition assistance. The school operates a small residential on-campus boarding program for both domestic and international students as well as an international host family program.
