The New School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Math teacher to work with Upper School students for the 2021-2022 school year. Math instruction aims to assist students in developing mathematical proficiency by developing problem-solving skills using real-world experience. Courses in the upper school range from pre-algebra through advanced statistics and calculus.

Provide daily instruction for students
Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum development
Collaborate with teachers to foster a learning environment matching the specific educational objectives set by the administration and the grade-level teams
Communicate with parents, faculty, and support staff regarding students’ educational performance
Attend and help organize parent-teacher conferences and school events as needed
Support the School, its mission, and its leadership
Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by the administration for the success of students
Preferred: An equivalent of two years of experience teaching math, preferably in a private school setting
A passion for and experience with integrating technology into the curriculum to serve the needs of all learners
A demonstrated eagerness to grow professionally and remain current within the field
