Mid Pacific middle school teachers embody an excitement for teaching middle school students and are committed to supporting the unique needs of developing adolescents including cognitive and social emotional development. As a member of the middle school community, teachers work collaboratively with highly interdisciplinary teams as well as across grade level content areas, requiring teachers to possess a breadth and depth of content knowledge designed to cultivate critical thinking skills and real world applications while integrating technology into the curriculum. With social emotional learning as an integral part of the Middle School, teachers serve as advisors to a group of students, building positive relationships fostered through the leading of advisory program curriculum activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from an accredited college or university. A minimum of three years of middle level teaching experience with a diverse student population is strongly preferred. Previous experience with project-based instruction preferred, but not required.
