Cheshire Academy seeks a full-time teacher interested in teaching in both the Mathematics & Computer Science and Science departments for the upcoming 2021-22 academic year.
A degree in mathematics or science that includes course work in physics, multivariable calculus, and linear algebra is preferred. Candidates who have a dynamic presence in the classroom, an innovative and open approach to curriculum design, a collaborative approach to teaching, and who incorporate new technologies are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must embrace participation in the entire boarding school experience.
The primary classroom responsibility is to teach five sections of upper level mathematics courses in addition to physics, engineering, and/or computer science courses. Interest in or experience with the IB diploma programme is strongly preferred.
Other responsibilities include:
Coaching and/or leading extra-curricular activities;
Weekend team responsibilities;
Residential/dormitory duties (if you are a residential faculty member);
Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain an CT “A” endorsement for purposes of transporting students.
