Saint Peter’s Catholic School (PK-8), located in Olney MD, is seeking a dedicated principal to serve as an effective spiritual and instructional leader for the 2021-22 school year.
Saint Peter’s Catholic School is a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Our school is part of the community of believers that forms Saint Peter's Parish, the Archdiocese of Washington, and the Universal Church. Saint Peter's School bears witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ by helping families nurture their children in the love of God, the love of neighbor, and sound Gospel values.
The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic and a certified catechist, based on criteria from the Archdiocese (or within three years of hire).
A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Education is required (within three years of hire) as well as successful instructional and leadership experience.
Candidates shall possess a Maryland, Virginia, or District of Columbia educational administration certification at time of hire or within three years from the date of hire.
He/she must be collaborative, with additional expertise in standards-based curriculum, assessment, technology integration and community relations.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in effective use of data for instructional and educational improvement.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaboration with the pastor and the leadership team of the parish, the advancement of the mission of the school and overseeing school operations: implementation of Archdiocesan policies; instructional and programmatic supervision; professional development; recruitment and retention of families; long-range planning; and community relations.
