Hebron Academy is seeking a dynamic, flexible, and forward-thinking faculty member to join our dynamic Visual and Performing Arts department in the 2021-2022 school year.
The ideal candidate will:
facilitate student-centered learning experiences with an emphasis on Hebron's academic principles which include effective communication, adaptable learning, responsible global citizenship, and self-leadership;
be primarily responsible for directing the school's a cappella group, upper school chorus, middle school chorus, and vocal lessons;
be committed to nurturing the whole child by caring for the emotional and social needs of each student;
be enthusiastic and passionate about the arts and music. Recruitment and retention are a large part of the program and a successful candidate will have experience and ideas as to how to attract students to groups and courses;
co-plan and execute annual concerts, weekly music events, student participation in Districts and All-State, and other on-campus music activities;
take initiative, be organized, and have attention to detail. Many aspects of this job require strong time-management and communication skills;
collaborate on department-wide initiatives and events;
coach or lead an after-school activity for 2-3 seasons;
participate fully in residential life including weeknight and weekend duty rotations;
be a motivated self-starter.

A bachelor's degree in the content area is required. Relevant teaching experience is preferred but other experience and qualifications will be considered.
