Norfolk Collegiate is seeking qualified candidates for a year-round pre-Kindergarten 4 lead teacher.   We seek teachers who are knowledgeable about teaching young children and who have comprehensive knowledge of the intellectual, social, emotional and physical developmental needs of three- and four-year-olds. The candidate also should have demonstrated ability to provide a student-centered classroom environment and positive learning experience, to differentiate curriculum, and to foster intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills. Candidates should be interested in working with students from a variety of backgrounds who possess a range of abilities and learning styles.  The position requires collaborative work with others; therefore, this individual must be able to work effectively with colleagues and parents.  We strive to attract flexible, lifelong learners who are reflective about their teaching practices and expect to collaborate, innovate, and grow as teachers and mentors.
