Telluride Mountain School is a pre-K through twelfth grade independent school of 130 students located in Telluride, CO, in the heart of San Juan mountain range.
The Upper School Art teacher will teach and otherwise support multi-age 7th and 8th grade classes, 9th and 10th grade classes, and IB Visual Art classes for 11th and 12th graders.

An undergraduate degree or graduate degree in related fields of Education or the Arts is preferred.

We expect a commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning, and the growth and development of others on the team. This professional learning may include up-front learning about how to support the IB Visual Arts class.
Report to Head of School
Implement student-centered pedagogy and TMS’s research-based elements of effective teaching
Plan dynamic units framed by learning targets and learning outcomes
Participate in the Experiential and Outdoor Education Programs, including but not limited to Fall and Spring Trips.
Collaborate in grade level and department level teams to refine curricular goals
Maintain consistent student records, as required by TMS and IBO
Telluride Mountain School is an independent, co-educational, non-sectarian day school serving students from pre-school through grade twelve. Founded in 1998, the school has a total of 120 students in multi-aged classrooms. The student to faculty ratio is seven to one.
