The Pennington School seeks a full-time Spanish and German teacher for the Upper School for the 2021-22 school year. This position includes teaching approximately 2 sections of Spanish and 2 sections of German.

Essential Duties:

• Teach a range of students in Upper School Spanish and German courses from levels 1 to 5, following a curriculum guide;
• Embrace student-centered teaching practices;
• Favor a linguistic communicative approach where permanent interactions promote higher proficiency levels in students;
• Create learning environments where students are challenged;
• Foster the Pennington School community;

• Demonstrate warmth, collegiality, humor, and industry in interactions with students and colleagues;
• Lead at least two extracurricular and/or athletic endeavors in addition to classroom duties;
• Contribute to school life outside of the classroom on a lively boarding school campus.

This position is full-time, ten (10) months per year, exempt from overtime, and eligible for all benefits afforded to full-time Pennington School employees.

The position may be available as a residential faculty position to assist with the supervision of students in the dormitories based on the needs of the School.
