Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester, Vermont seeks a passionate and dedicated teacher to teach a range of science classes to a diverse set of learners, beginning August 2021. Candidates should be well-versed in inquiry-based pedagogy and Next Generation Science Standards, have experience facilitating laboratory work with all levels of high school students, and be dedicated to collaborative professional growth. A strong science background is essential, and the ability to teach multiple science disciplines is preferred. Teaching assignments will be based on the candidate’s strengths and interests in the context of current staff. The department currently employs a physics-first curriculum in which students progress to Chemistry and then Biology.
