Lower School Spanish Teacher (Part-time)

Bullis School seeks a part-time Lower School Spanish Teacher beginning academic year 2021-2022 to contribute to our vibrant learning community. Candidates should be capable of teaching a wide range of students, with a specific focus on the introduction and foundation of the Spanish language and culture of Spanish speaking countries for students in grades Kindergarten to 2nd grade through the development and implementation of a robust and engaging curriculum. The Spanish teacher supports an appreciation, understanding, and awareness of the language and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries and foasters the development of Lower School student’s global skills. This position works collaboratively with the 3rd through 5th Grade Spanish teacher and homeroom teachers to vertically aligned and integrate Spanish curriculum within the Lower School. Teachers create the conditions for discovery both inside and outside of the classroom supporting and encouraging students to take risks, collaborate and explore. Successful Lower School teachers at Bullis are committed to ongoing professional development and a wide range of teaching approaches to reach a diverse student population.
