Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have...

• BA or BS Degree in an area of science (or education)
• MA or MS degree in Elementary Education, Special Education, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of and interest in general science
• Classroom experience building positive and appropriate relationships with young students
• Knowledge of, or willingness to continue higher levels of education to obtain knowledge of effective teaching strategies and methodologies for working with children with language-based learning disabilities

• Familiarity with Smartboards, Google Drive, and technology in the classroom
• Interest in professional career development in the field of special education
• Patience, flexibility, good organization skills, and a sense of humor
