Commonwealth Academy is currently seeking to hire an English/Writing teacher to join its Middle or High School team for the 2021-2022 school year. Educators who thrive in our community are those who are flexible, creative, collaborative, possess a strong work ethic, and a desire to foster student success. Qualified candidates should possess strong oral and written communication skills and be proficient with technology. The ideal candidate is a generalist in nature but must demonstrate knowledge of content area, current instructional and behavior management techniques, curriculum development, and best practices of 21st-century instruction.
Please also note that a Bachelor's degree is required, a Master's degree is highly preferred, and certification in Special Education or Wilson Reading is preferred. All employees must complete a criminal background check upon their official start date. Lastly, candidates must be willing to work on-campus and adhere to school-specific COVID-19 protocols.
