Grace Episcopal Day School is seeking an experienced Prekindergarten Teacher to join our Early Childhood Program. The teacher will work in collaboration with an assistant teacher to plan and implement a play-based, emergent, and child-centered curriculum. Applicants will have a clear understanding of child development for three- and four-year olds, a dedication to professional and personal development, flexibility, the ability to work with team members collaboratively, and a willingness to work in partnership with parents.
The PreKindergarten Teacher at Grace:
Collaborates with an assistant teacher to create a vibrant and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity, joy, and growth
Communicates regularly with parents and caregivers about each student’s progress and development
Participates in training and certifications required by licensing
Experience working in a co-teaching environment and a minimum of two years of teaching experience
Applicants will preferably have a bachelors’ degree in early childhood education or child development.
Cultural competence and training in diversity, equity, and inclusion for young students and their families
Interest in working collaboratively as a member of a team in a diverse school community
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
