Teach Reading, Writing, Social Studies, and Math with rigor, purpose, and planning (STEAM and Design Thinking experience a plus).
Prepare motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the subject matter, best practices, and child development.
Employ a variety of teaching methods and differentiated instruction to engage different learning styles and ability levels in the classroom.
Maintain accurate records of assessment.
Generate a classroom culture that is engaging, student-focused, and effectively managed.
Encourage an inclusive classroom that accepts the different perspectives and backgrounds of the students and elicits a greater understanding of the world around them with a global perspective.
Effectively and consistently partner and communicate with parents, colleagues, and students.
Participate in professional development, reflect on teaching, and be open to new ideas and innovative learning.
Participate in school events and contribute to the school’s plan for growth.
Perform duties assigned when needed for the supervision of students.
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
Experience teaching elementary reading, writing, social studies, and math in a student-centered learning environment
Ability to design and deliver lessons based on best practices for reading, writing, and social studies instruction
Experience with project-based learning
