The Oakridge School seeks a dynamic, energetic, and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher for Grades 9-12 beginning August 2021. The ideal candidate grows through networking and lifelong learning, models outstanding character and empathy with a heart for upper school-aged students, and demonstrates flexibility and teamwork. This teacher maintains a student-centered, innovative classroom where students build an appreciation and love for computer science, math, and STEM-related work. A skilled relationship builder, he or she communicates well with students, parents, and colleagues, invests in the school community, and understands the importance of family and school in developing the whole child.

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science preferred, with experience teaching upper school-aged students with a variety of learning styles. Please articulate your teaching background in your application and/or resume. Strongest applicants will have taught AP Computer Science Principles and/or AP Computer Science A.
