Greengate School at Randolph is seeking an innovative lower school co - teacher with a growth mindset. The primary responsibilities consist of assisting the lead-teacher with all classroom responsibilities including curriculum planning, small group instruction, individual instruction, classroom management, and social emotional learning.
The ideal candidate will:

demonstrate a history of collaborative relationships with parents and colleagues
use of a variety of methods to teach and evaluate student progress
demonstrate effective written and oral communication
share duties and responsibilities with other members of the faculty
work with the lead teacher to monitor the class schedule
assist lead teacher with lesson preparation, including but not limited to, getting materials ready and setting up equipment
review lesson materials with students individually or in small groups
comply with all school and class policies and procedures
attend all training classes, parent conferences, and faculty meetings
ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean
supervise students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, and on field trips
collaborate with lead teacher to recognize and resolve student issues
document student progress and communicate with parents to keep them informed
This co - teacher will participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the general well-being of the Lower School and the school community in a manner that supports and promotes the mission of Greengate School. The co - teacher will be expected to be actively involved in the school’s full program which may involve sponsoring a club, chaperoning field trips, serving on faculty committees and attending school events. Interest in and ability to contribute to the athletics and extracurricular programs will be a positive asset.
Education Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an elementary teacher, co-teacher, or teaching assistant. Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of and/or prior experience working with dyslexic students.
