Indian Creek School, a PreK to Grade 12, independent, co-ed day school of 528 students, seeks an experienced leader, fundraiser, and marketer to serve as its Director of Advancement. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Head of School as a key member of the School's leadership team and lead the Advancement Office which includes a Director of Development, a Director of Alumni Engagement, an Events Coordinator, Website Manager, and Database Manager. In directing all advancement and marketing efforts, this person will partner with every constituency - and most closely with a dedicated external affairs team including development, admissions, and communications professionals - in advancing the school towards its mission and strategic priorities.
The ICS program is forward-thinking, best-practice oriented, and student-obsessed. At its heart, ICS is a school in which all students belong as members of a diverse and inclusive community, and in which students and teachers partner in experiences that lead to deep learning, character development, and the skills and knowledge to thrive in the present and future. We believe that student belonging is the first step, the foundation, for everything else that we do.
As Indian Creek School approaches its 50th anniversary, it is in one of the most dynamic periods of its history. ICS has steadily evolved from a PK – 3rd grade school in 1973, to a PK – 8th grade school in 1977, becoming a dual campus, PK - 12th grade school in 2005. Now in 2021, the school will unify on one updated 114-acre campus this fall. A major renovation and addition project has begun, supported by the One Creek Capital Campaign that seeks to raise $5.3 million by June 30, 2022, with $2.9 in current pledges and contributions.
On the heels of the current campaign will come a strategic plan that propels the School into the second half of its first century and takes full advantage of the campus as well as our global campus and connections. There is palpable momentum at 'The Creek' as the school launches onto the national stage for student-centered and experiential learning. The Director of Advancement will play a critical role in this progress.
We are not afraid of thinking big at ICS. We are driven by our students' passion for learning, and we are dedicated to providing the outstanding educational experiences and spirited school community they deserve. ICS is not a school that sits still, and we are looking for a leader to join the team who is ready to jump in and seize a once-in-a-career moment to join a community that is passionate about imagining all that school can be.
The Director of Advancement will have primary responsibility for leading all development and marketing efforts for the School. This full time, 12-month position, reports to the Head of School and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The Director of Advancement will lead a development team that is unsurpassed in its commitment to the community, and needs a leader who will partner with, mentor, and inspire them to innovate, collaborate, and institute best practices in fundraising and marketing, and implement a data- and systems- driven approach. The Director of Advancement will also partner closely with the admissions team and communications team in marketing, branding, outreach, and on-boarding. The Director of Advancement will champion the School's brand and ensure a consistent on-brand experience throughout.
