St. Martin’s Episcopal School is seeking a dynamic CI (Comprehensible Input) Spanish teacher for the 21-22 school year. We offer an established CI program in Chinese, French, and Spanish from PK to 12th grade. St. Martin’s has small classes, professional development opportunities, and a team of experienced CI teachers. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Spanish. An advanced degree is preferred.
Native or near-native fluency in Spanish
3 years of successful CI teaching experience
A collaborative spirit of working with and learning from department members in order to develop the program
Knowledge of child and adolescent development and language acquisition
Please note that we have two separate positions available- a Middle School position (5-8th grade) and an Upper School position (a combination of Spanish I-V, AP, or Language and Culture courses for grades 9-12). We will consider candidates with a strong interest in CI who may not have CI classroom experience.
