St. Hilda's & St. Hugh's seeks a full-time Latin Teacher for our Upper Division (grades 7 – 8) in the 2021/ 2022 school year. The successful candidate will be an accomplished Latin teacher who is passionate about Classics and eager to share that enthusiasm with Upper Division students.
Designs lessons with clear, focused, and measurable instructional objectives
Administer dynamic and effective Latin curriculum.
Create and maintain a positive, engaging learning environment for all students.
Analyze student progress and provide students with timely feedback.
Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units, assignments, and projects.
Employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies aligned with instructional objectives.
Demonstrated strengths in differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
Dedication to creating a positive classroom community and building relationships with students
Ability to engage students in rigorous content and well-planned, well-paced lessons
Skilled in classroom management
Joy and passion for teaching
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Open to feedback and continuous growth
