San Antonio Academy of Texas is seeking an experienced and passionate visual arts teacher to join our Elementary and Middle School team beginning in the 2021-2022 school year.

Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
An outstanding grasp of both content and pedagogy of elementary art education including using many mediums such as charcoal, pastels, ink, painting in watercolor, tempera, and acrylic, ceramic work, and digital art.
Ability to design inspirational, hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experiences, and comfortable working with a wide range of academic capabilities.
Host an annual student art show displaying original student works of art
Excellent classroom management skills.
Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding student progress.
Support the efforts of vertical team planning and curriculum alignment.
Demonstrate commitment to personal and professional growth.
Able to meaningfully receive, reflect on, and apply feedback to one's professional growth.
Fulfill other duties as assigned, such as lunch, recess, and carpool.
Attend all required meetings which may occur outside of the school day.
Proficient in the use of technology within the classroom and workplace.
