The Department of Medical Sciences in the School of Education and Health Sciences at North Central College invites applications for two non tenure-track positions as Part-Time Founding Principal Faculty Members in the Physician Assistant Studies Program beginning August 1st, 2021. The successful candidates will support and promote the goals and objectives of the MSPAS Program, and serve as course director of didactic courses such as Clinical Medicine, Diagnostic Methods or Clinical Decision Making. As Principal Faculty for the MSPAS program, expectations would be to also participate in admissions, mentoring, academic advisement, student assessment and assistance in the maintenance of ARC-PA Standards. The candidates must hold a Master's level degree in physician assistant studies as well as current NCCPA certification with an unrestricted medical license. Successful candidates must have at least one year of experience teaching graduate level physician assistant students. Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Fluency in course delivery and management, as well as familiarity in educational learning management software is an expectation. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship.
