The Elisabeth Morrow School seeks a passionate, creative, and nurturing full-time, Spanish teacher for grades 1–4 for the 2021–2022 school year. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the World Language department and colleagues, have an in-depth knowledge of the Spanish language, and be enthusiastic about sharing a love of the Spanish language and culture in and out of the classroom.
Create, plan, and execute lessons and activities that introduce students to the Spanish language and culture using the agreed-upon curriculum, content, and resources.
Develop a positive and joyful classroom environment that engages and motivates students to achieve their potential.
Foster relationships with students, faculty, and families.
Collaborate with colleagues in various capacities, including planning, evaluating student growth, mentoring, and peer observations.
Communicate with faculty, staff, students, and families in a considerate, compassionate, courteous, and cooperative manner.

Be your best self daily from 7:50–3:45 p.m.
Attend Monday professional development opportunities and meetings through their closing at 4:45 p.m.
Be available for a few curricular and community evening events.
Assess and report on student development and academic progress.
Prepare written reports twice a year and hold conferences, both formal and informal, with families.
Meet the needs of our students outside of the school schedules, planning and supporting activities, such as club opportunities.
