The Eden Prairie School District is searching for an Associate Superintendent of Academics and Innovation who has demonstrated successful leadership in a diverse district necessary to advance this district to its next level of excellence.
The successful candidate will assist in inspiring each student every day by serving the varied educational needs of approximately 8,400 students (46% students of color). Eden Prairie is one of the most diverse (families who speak more than 88 languages and dialects) districts in the area with a qualified and dedicated staff of over 1,400 throughout the district’s five Elementary Schools (PreK-5), Spanish Immersion School (PreK-5), Middle School (6-8), High School (9-12), K-12 Online School, Early Childhood Program, and Transition Program.

The successful candidate for the position will have:
Licensure as a principal and superintendent, or ability to attain for the State of Minnesota.
A Master’s degree required in an educational related field, Doctorate preferred.
Minimum 5 years serving as an educational administrator.
Experience as a building principal preferred.
Experience and demonstrated ability in program development, strategic implementation, assessment, and improving outcomes for each student.
Experience in developing and managing budgets.
Experience in supervising, and evaluating employees.

Possess effective leadership abilities and consensus building skills.
Possess knowledge of current trends in education.
Demonstrate supervisory and management skills.
Demonstrate proven success in educational leadership, innovation, planning and facilitation skills required.

Hold expertise in supporting continuous improvement district-wide data and process improvement needs.
