AIM Academy is seeking a Wilson Reading teacher to join our summer faculty. AIM Academy’s Summer Program is focused on tapping into the unique characteristics of children who learn differently and those who would benefit from hands-on, small-group instruction during the summer months.
The ideal candidate will have experience in all levels of the Wilson Reading System. The WRS is a “multi-sensory” program. It uses visual, auditory, kinesthetic and tactile senses to help kids make connections between sounds and words. An ideal candidate for this position would also have experience working with children with language based learning differences.
This position is for the 2021 Summer Program. Hours of responsibility are 8:45 am to 12:45 pm, Monday through Friday. The session begins on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 and ends on Friday, July 30, 2021. We do not have school on Monday, July 5, 2021.
Bachelor’s degree required
Wilson Certification, required
PA or Private Academic Certification
Excellence in writing, editing, and communication skills
Ability to positively and constructively relate to students
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Adaptive learner and self-starter
Strong technology skills
