Position Description Wooster School seeks a Middle School STEM instructor to begin in the fall of 2021. The position will involve teaching math and science to 5th and 6th grade students as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary multigrade-level team. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree and at least 3 years of teaching experience at the middle school level. Candidates should be curious students of the art and science of teaching and learning, particularly in the context of competency-based education and personalized instruction. Demonstrating flexibility, a strong sense of humor, and fluency with technology is also essential. As part of a school-wide instructional focus, the ideal candidate will also have enthusiasm for personalized instruction, rooted in multiple pathways for diverse learners to demonstrate competency.
