Houston’s Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts is seeking a new principal who will build on the school's 50-year legacy of success. HSPVA was the first public high school in the nation to offer concentrated training in both performing and visual arts as well as academics.
The new principal will possess professional qualifications and personal qualities compatible with the school’s unique attributes and goals, including a background in the arts. The principal will also:
Manage a state-of-the-art downtown campus opened in 2019, designed by Gensler and located in the Houston Theater District. Houston has one of the youngest, fastest growing, and most diverse populations anywhere in the world.
Collaborate with the faculty, continuing Kinder HSPVA’s culture of teachers as leaders and its founding tenet that “education is an adventure in trust.”
