Demonstrate a penchant for and joy in teaching elementary children and in helping them to achieve their fullest potential
Possess disciplinary acumen in literacy (receptive and expressive language, reading, writing, phonics and word study), mathematics, and social studies
Share equal responsibility with teaching partner in the areas of classroom design, classroom management, lesson design, lesson planning, activities, assessments, report writing, data gathering, and communication with families
Exemplify collaboration that supports an authentic and inclusive school community, and collaboration that supports colleagues in a positive manner
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in education preferred.
At least three years of demonstrated experience in teaching elementary school preferred.
Coursework and or professional training in early childhood development and in methods to support students with a variety of learning modalities ideal.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compatibility with the School’s values, culture, and current administration and faculty are a must.
