Georgetown Day School seeks a Middle School math teacher for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. Primary responsibilities include teaching four sections of math and serving as an advisor. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to teach through Algebra II. Deep knowledge of one’s subject, enthusiasm for teaching middle schoolers, and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues are essential expectations of all GDS faculty. As a diverse, inclusive school devoted to social justice and preparing students to live and work in an increasingly globalized and multicultural society, GDS is particularly interested in professionals with demonstrated interest and experience in working in such a school setting.
Essential qualifications include a B.A. in Mathematics and significant experience working with early adolescents. A Master’s degree is preferred.
