Berkshire Country Day School seeks an experienced elementary classroom teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. The Lower School program fosters a love of learning and provides children with a firm grounding in the subject areas of language arts, social studies, science, math, foreign language, art, and outdoor education. A lower school homeroom teacher is responsible for teaching language arts, math, and social studies to a small class of students. Additional responsibilities for all full-time teachers include partnering with families, assessing and evaluating student progress, supporting admissions work, and participating in faculty meetings, dismissal duties, and school events.
Berkshire Country Day School serves students in PreK through Eighth Grade.
A BA in Elementary Education (or comparable degree) is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of successful elementary teaching experience.
